Good afternoon all. I drive a 2017 Tacoma trd sport v6. Driving home from work I noticed a rough idle at stoplights. It’s pretty rough. It ran smooth when first fired up but when warm is when it started rough idle. This happened on my short drive home from work. Check engine light is not on (yet). So I can’t begin to tell if it’s misfiring on any particular cylinder. I have read 2016-17 are bad for misfiring. Thanks for any and all advice or moral support

Do you have, or have access to a scan tool? That makes picking a starting point much easier. Most likely culprits are fuel or spark. If the problem occurred and/or re-occurs when warm, I would start with coils, but you really need to know which cylinder(s) are missing before you can swap coils.

How old are the spark plugs, how many miles on the truck?

are you spark plugs loose perchance? It's a known issue with the V6

Might still show pending codes. Not all codes cause CEL to light up

Codes are only a small part of it; as @hx989 indicated, it could be a pending code, but what you're really after is your live data: Fuel trims, 02 sensor status, etc, and most importantly, misfire counters so you can see which cylinder(s) is causing the problem. Then you can narrow down your search. If it's one cylinder, no CEL, and all the other data is good, you're likely looking at secondary ignition problem.
