    Good morning TW,

I installed a diamondback cover on my 2016 TRD OR AC last night. I love the cover, but I noticed that my drainage holes in the bed (the small holes pre drilled in the bed) were bringing in a good amount of water when I was driving to work in a small rain storm this morning. I don't believe this has anything to do with the cover, I think the water is simply coming in through these pre drilled drainage holes.

Is there a way to plug these with non-permanent plugs? They are quite small, but I didn't want to use flex paste on them because I may need to drain my bed in the future. Also, has anyone else experienced this?

Maybe I should get a bed mat?

    Thank you!

    Oh look, another mod....
You can buy rubber grommets from your local hardware store to plug up the holes.

I got some of the stuff and a road map for the rest...
I've got a bed mat and it traps water under it pretty good. I pull it out to dry it every other week or so. Kinda nasty, would be better to stop the water other ways.

I love the Bedrug though. Durable but soft enough to sleep on in a pinch.

Thanks - am I correct in using grommets? Like, I don't want to permanently plug them up, right?

Use 5/16" hole plugs from Lowe's. There are 3 drainage holes in the front of the bed. Don't forget the holes in the storage cubbie(s).

Thank you - are the storage cubbie holes the same size?

I thought about plugging them up, but the water that comes in is so minor that i've ignored it. On another note...do get the bed mat, its one of the best things for the truck.
