No, I haven't...I'll pop a boot off and see if there's anything that I can tell

Not sure that it's something you can really determine on your own; I seem to recall Mom having to get x-rays or some-such. Hopefully not the case!

Are the collets considered to be a wear item?
How long would a commonly used size last before a replacement is needed?

I don't think they wear out, I've broke one or two over the years but they are generally trouble free.

The ones I broke I had screwdrivers stuck in them trying to put odd ball size tools in them. They aren't made to spread out, only squeeze to a certain range.

Putting metric stock in an imperial collet / vice-versa is a personal favorite of mine...

Nothing that looks or feels abnormal on my heels. They're just a little sore, bit tender if I push on them but nothing like 225 pounds of weight that seems to amplify that soreness.
I really leaning towards the possibility that I just need more arch support. About 12-15 years ago the man on the shoemobile had me put my foot in that measuring device and told me I needed to go up to size 13. He said with age feet can flatten out.

It's not like excruciating pain either...but just enough to be a uncomfortable annoyance:bananadead:

Friend of mine from way back does gutter work on his days off from the F.D. He ask me if I could fix his downspout punch. The head was worn and the shaft too. Welded it up and redid it and made a new shaft. Good to go!

Arch supports from this company helped me, expensive and worth it.

Found this on the Tools-n-Gizmos website

SWMBO = "She Who Must Be Obeyed" (generally referring to a wife or girlfriend)
    Pronunciation "Swim-bou"

Henry Rider Haggard wrote "She" in 1885.
The subject is a woman named Ayesha who lived for over two thousand years. She ruled a tribe who were forbidden to call her by her real name. "She" had the power of life and death over her subjects, therefore "She" was most often referred to as "'She', who must be obeyed".

"She who must be obeyed" was also referred to in the "Epic of Gilgamesh". This is supposedly the oldest story known to exist and approximately 5000 years old. It appears that men feared their women-folk even back then!

Later, Rumpole (the British TV show character), popularised the term, often referring to his wife as SWMBO.

If you check back on that website Rusty, the inventory changes up. Like I mentioned, seems a bit like a machine tool salvage/scrapper type operation.

Woohoo, supervisor just give me the all clear to leave for the day. Fantastical

I looked at our camper roof yesterday, it's not in that bad of shape. It's just along the edges where the seal is. This could be an idea and get us out for a few hundred dollars. I'll know more when I tear the corner apart. The camper spends most of it's time under the shed now with not much sun light at all on the roof.

    Hell No.
    I went kicking and screaming.
If nothing else I got respect for my honesty.

I was told more than once if I wasn’t so good at the things I did they would fire me but
they couldn’t find 2 people good enough to take my place…

Just had a customer get pissy with me cause his parts aren't done. I got a pad and pen and tried to get him to write his name and number down and told him I'd get the boss to call him when he gets back. He said you have by tomorrow? I said no, we don't work tomorrow, tried to get his name and number so the boss can call him. He said I already talked to him. I tried the 3rd time to get his name and number. He took his parts and walked out.

Told my coworker cause he's the one who talked to him when he brought them in. He said he's already tried several other shops and they can't do it.

People don't understand we have 2 people out here and we can't do but so much. AND we are covered up

    End rant.
