    Hello.

I installed my diamondback SE on my 2016 TRD OR AC yesterday. I noticed the tailgate it a bit stiff to open and close, and rubs against the weather seal on the tailgate panel pretty good. It did this even before I tightened everything down. Is this normal? Does it take a while the the seal to get 'broken in'? I just want to make sure I am not damaging anything.

    Thank you.

Also have the DB, HD but I don't think it matters, felt the same when I first installed. I wouldn't worry, it should wear in and get easier. IIRC the manual says to keep the cover down and closed for some amount of time to break the seals in a bit anyway. If it does cause issues that is on DB and they should fix it for you. I can't imagine how you could install it wrong and cause excess wear in a way that is your fault.

My HD does that too. Had it for over a year. I can't imagine it not being like it is else water can get in, no?
