    I have an '08 Tacoma with a 2.7L.
    Turns over but won't start.
What could I look for that's wrong?

My truck won't start, what can it be?

C'mon man, what leg work have you done to diagnose the problem so far?

Yeah we could ask several questions like does it have gas in it, checked fuses, has spark, does it sputter like it wants to start or just crank and crank, etc. Like mainesh said, dozens of things it could be. Spend some time diagnosing, then come back & let us know what you checked and found so far.

Be kind. This is the first time I've tried to join a forum of any kind.
Yes, I should have started with diagnosing of my own, then come here. But, I wouldn't have realized that if I hadn't signed up.
Now, back to the truck to try the basics first.

I don't think anyone was trying to be rude but with hardly anything to go on all we can do is guess.

Some initial questions I would have are:

Did it die while driving or just didn't start after being parked?

An prior symptoms (stalling, hesitation, misfires, etc)?

    Miles on the truck?

Any aftermarket alarm/security/remote start installed that you know of?

    Any recent work performed?

    Have you checked for codes?

Is the CEL on with the key on?

Since you have a 2.7 it's unlikely to have an immobilizer but it's still worth looking if you have a flashing security light in the center on the dash near the clock with the key on.

I agree-I was clueless before I found this forum. I had money, too! I think the answers weren’t meant to be rude but tongue-in-cheek. Did you check to see if it had a battery lol?

I couldn’t read a wiring diagram until I joined this forum. I’ve learned a lot myself on here too.
