So this thread will probably get hate. I know these trucks are not sports cars and such. But iv seen some threads for other manufacturer forums doing this same thing. I'm just making this thread to see what everyone has done to their tacoma to get to a goal . I'd like to get a reliable 400hp. I know with these trucks there's a limit in aftermarket but just wanna see some creativity or some engineering it doesn't just have to be horsepower goals. But advice to get my goal sorted out would be cool

    Oh look, another mod....

No hate here. You can slap this super charger on it. It'll give you 370+ HP:

There’s magnuson and then there is OVTune that makes a twin turbo kit. Pick your poison because gas is only getting more expensive

I know about the superchargers and I am soon hoping to have the money for it. It may be unachievable with the engine and such but more so 400 whp and yea gas sucks but I already run KDMAX pro 91 octane tune so it is what it is. But with some mods and mine being a manual I have "raced" (kinda) some stock tacomas ( friends and strangers ) and it's no competition but just inquiring about if anyone has done a little more than just a supercharger.

Also is the OV TT kit even still a thing I followed it a bunch but it seemed to die out and now just in waiting for people to figure it out. But haven't heard anything about it

The supercharger will take you there. Right now the limitation is the fuel system... and we are slowly working through that. Once that is solid, more boost and the supporting parts will should get you that number... it's roughly what I am working towards.

Supercharger should bring me close to 400hp but not quite 400whp but definitely keep me updated

The supercharger will give you what you want, just not as it comes from Magnuson. Magnuson is conservative with the tune and boost as the stock fuel system can't support power levels too much above that. The Eaton TVS1900 Supercharger is on the large side for this displacement, it will easily supply the extra air.... the 2GR-FKS engine has a fairly stout bottom end, too. Once we tackle all the various fuel system issues (we can't simply swap in a larger pump) I suspect 400 whp can be achieved with some amount of reliability if driven with a little respect.
