    Hey Guys,

I came here because I feel like this would be the best place to ask for some advice. My beautiful 2002 supercharged tacoma is in the repair shop from a weird sound coming from the supercharger. I got a call for the mechanic and he told me the supercharger is toast. He said I need to replace it and it will cost about 5k. I need to sell the truck but I dont know if putting 5k into it is going to be worth it. Any advice for me would be greatly appreciated. I love this truck and it sucks that it is coming down to fixing her or not.

I bought a clean one like yours without a supercharger though with everything stock except for some beefy tires and a camper shell and led lights with a light bar and mine has the rear diff lock , bought it for 15k with 194k miles but then again you'd have to find someone willing to pay. If the frame is clean and everything else is working like it should it might be worth it but wouldn't it just be cheaper to remove the supercharger. Oh and mine is v6 if its a 4cylnder I wouldn't get the super charger done.

Is it auto or manual because at least I have found manuals usually sale for less at least from what I have seen.

That's a great looking truck, but what matters most is operability. Tough call, but Tacomas are so well built, I'd consider it an investment from which you'll get returns over time.

You could sell the supercharger, Im pretty sure someone would rebuild it and you could put an intake manifold on it.

If your going to sell the truck anyway, no way would I pay to put another supercharger in it, just have it removed.
