I live in CA and bought a 22 Pro in April. I could not be happier. Took it to Moab the next week and went wheelin. I paid the same for my new Pro as low (less than 10k), loaded 21 Off Roads, 4x4 with leather etc. were selling for on Carmax. Look right now these loaded ‘21 off roads are all listed for $50k +. Crazy times we are living in. Buy what makes you happy and have fun!

As for the price of the used 22 Pro? I would guess at $56k the seller in CA might be breaking even after paying sales tax, etc. when he purchased it.

Good and almost always ignored point. During the good ole days of easy 10%+ off all other trims, if you got 1% off a pro you did great. Pros went for MSRP 95% of the time.

I had a base OR in 2017, was a great truck. Didn't want another OR this time around and to me $8k is not a lot of incremental money when already spending so much on a new vehicle and getting extras over the base OR truck. Best part is that the $8k isn't wasted and will get all that back when selling it. Total cost of ownership between a base OR and Pro if you leave both alone would be basically the same. If one knows they want to mod the truck beyond maybe just tires and some cosmetics, I would personally start with a Trail or OR.

The issue with getting a Pro where I am in a color I want is almost impossible, may have to go down to a Trail and try again in 2023 for a Pro.

Do over this year, I might’ve gone for the latest trail because those wheels are fire and it has a locker. After skid plate, suspension, exhaust, and all the other things I like about my truck, however, I’m still not convinced I’d save much money.

edit: JK, it doesn’t come in a MT.
