I have a 2017 Tacoma Limited. The LCD underneath the radio head unit, which displays the heated seat status, dual zone temperature setting, and fan setting, has started to flicker when the back-lighting is on.

I can't seem to find the part number for this display on the Toyota parts website, can anyone point me to the right part number? I think it's 55900-something

I assume this is just the backlight dying much like happens on monitors, TVs, and other LCDs; has anyone found and installed a replacement instead of scraping the whole display?

Probably better off trying to get one from a wrecking yard.

Maybe so, but I'd still appreciate a part number for comparison.

This should be the right part number if your truck is 4wd.

Thanks, I was hoping the LCD was a separate module and I wouldn't have to replace the whole thing (trim, knobs, etc.). I pulled mine out and disassembled it until I got down to the circuit board. Seems these are actually backlit with surface mount LEDs. Since it's the whole LCD display that flickers, but none of the backlit knobs/buttons, I feel like it has to be a component failure on the PCB related to the LED driver circuit for just the LCD display. Nothing is obviously wrong, but I can't trace the LED circuit very easily as its a dual sided PCB and the front where the LEDs are mounted is covered by the LCD. Anyone have a circuit diagram of this thing?

In the mean time, I cleaned it off and quickly reheated everything with a reflow hot air gun; hopefully if it was just a bad solder connection to something that may fix it. I've reconnected everything up and will test it over the next couple days.
