I currently run 255/75R17 KO2s and was thinking about going down to 16" rims and 255/85R16 tires, but then KO2's aren't produced in that size and I really like the tire and definitely don't want a mud terrain tire. It rains here fair bit in PNW and mud terrains are not known for being good in rain + more road noise is not something I am looking for. Other option is to go small and skinnier, thus looking at option of 235/80R17.

Anyone have pictures of 235/80/17 BFG KO2's on 2nd gen Taco?

P.S. Yes, I like skinny tires. Thank you for you opinion.

The Land Rover Camel Trophy competition used that size of tire, 7.5/16 and they went through some crazy country
The 235 80 is the modern equivalent of it.
Good enough for the Amazon or Africa.

I ended up going with BFG KO2 235/85/16 and like it, probably will try 255/85/16 Toyo M-55 next, but this tire is nice and because it's lighter I can feel difference in how truck starts moving from 0.

I run 235/85-16 as a spare tire on my vehicles with 265/75-16 size tires. 1.2” thinner tucks nice.
