Anyone have any experience with a 14 inch bed rack
    https://www.max-modular.com/products-2/alu-max-14-high-aluminum-truck-bed-rack
and carrying kayaks? I'm trying to decide if Jhooks on the roof rack will allow me to clear the cab height with a 12ft and 13ft kayak on their sides.

If anyone has any experience it'd be much appreciated.

I'm trying to find a combo that works for me. I need a retractable tonneau cover and roof rack that will work with Kayaks.

will depend on the shape of your kayaks and where they are placed. no specific experience with kayaks but given that the bed rail to top of cab measurement is around 19 you should be good if you move up to the 18 inch rack.

We have had customers use the 14" rack with J-hooks for kayaks.

I personally prefer our 18" rack for that purpose, but you can make it work.

Great, thanks for the info. I was thinking might be a bit too close for comfort with the larger kayaks

Most covers are compatible, let me know which specific one you had in mind and we will verify fitment.

Also, the tonneau brackets add 2.5" to the height of the rack, which makes the 14" rack 16.5" tall, which makes it more likely to work for your situation.
