Took the other ride to work, washed the chiefs truck, both mine and the one I use at Work. Was being eaten alive by them nasty tiger mosquitoes. Gave up and am now hiding inside.

9 hours to go, then home to change for the wreath laying and parade and then bed.

Going good. Got the daughter's car fixed , washed n waxed , wash n waxed the wife's, wash n waxed the leaf, then same for tacoma , got moms grass cut, mine cut , and most importantly spread some grubex. Been a few busy days , tomorrow do some small detail work on the Tacoma, door jambs , wheels then relax. Wanted to paint the porch floor when I was off but no ambition.

Morning Pa. Post Everlasting ceremony last evening @ our local American Legion. Post officers read the names of Post, SAL, and Auxiliary members who passed last year. Realized everyone attending will have their name read someday. And that bugle gets me everytime.....

Good afternoon fellow Pennsyltuckyvanians! I've been laying low for a few days - a visit by one of Lynn's sisters and her family to attend a family wedding. Yesterday was their last day with us so we didn't crew the balloon flight that was scheduled. But, the winds of fate brought them to our house so they tethered Lynn's sister and family before we packed it up and had champagne!! Here's a drone shot of the house/balloon.

Happy memorial day peeps! It’s been a while. A lot has changed. I traded in my 2015 Tacoma TRD Pro for a 2020! It was a better decision on with I got going on with work etc. i didn’t want to but it just made sense.

How do i get dryied up dead worms on my porch stuck to the paint ? IDK it's supposed to be 90 on Wed and this porch is in the sun. If anyone likes to paint hit me up haha.

    Evenin' PA!

Hope everybody had a good extended weekend. I spent the first part of mine holed up in the house feeling a bit under the weather. Most of it cleared up, so I ventured out today.

I was out of gas for the mowers and needed to get some "heating oil" to start filling up the oil tank in the basement by the time it starts getting cold. Loaded all the cans up and headed to MD to my station of choice.

10 gallons of offroad diesel and 6 gallons of 90 octane ethanol free was around $85. Ouch!

So, now what to do. Decided to clean the 3rd gen up. Found I have a nice shady spot under the tree in the driveway...

At this point I was feeling a little run down, but got the truck in the garage. Decided to throw a quick coat of wax on it. Took maybe 30-40 minutes applying it with the DA.

Still need to tackle the 2nd gen, but that one will probably take two days worth of paint correction to get it looking good since it's black.

Hope everybody has a good week! :D

Nice wax, we used that in the power plants in the switch yards and precipatator insulators. When I used it at home had to put it in hot water to get it runny enough, but today probably hot enough. I'm now using the ceramic stuff , not sure what's better they all feel great when applied . But the truck is looking good.

    Thanks!

I bounce back and fourth between a bunch of different ones. I was using the Griot's 3 in 1 ceramic spray for a while, which is an excellent product in itself. But I like the warm "glow" of the Collinite 845 or 476 paste. I set the 845 out in the sun while I was washing and was ready to use. Applying it with the DA is super easy. The 476 offers a little more protection, but is harder to apply being a paste wax.

Looking sharp! Hope you feel better.
The current price of fuel is enough to make anyone feel ill.

I have an almost full tank of oil fortunately -- unfortunately the furnace packed it in for good.
They just don't build this stuff to last anymore, it was only 50 years old... :annoyed:
Actually it still runs beautifully -- just smells like a diesel engine in the house when it runs.

Thanks Rusty! Yea, feeling a whole lot better than I did Saturday!

It was $5.05 per gallon for the Ethanol free, and $4.95 for the offroad diesel. Now, everybody is wondering did I just put that in my home heating oil tank. Well, yes, yes I did... Pretty much the same stuff and I can spread out the cost over the summer to fill it up 10-15 gallons at a time... Probably will do that throughout winter too...

My LeakhamBurnham boiler is from 2001 and I hope to get a couple more good years out of it. Gotta get it serviced before it gets cold. It needs both zones purged and the pressure relief valve replaced. Also I need to order a new feeder valve as the one on there is pooched. I'm at the point in my life I can afford the pros to do it. Company a couple miles up the road will get the business for that one. My central AC unit is gonna need replaced here soon so it'll likely get replaced with one that has a heat pump, so the oil furnace will be very rarely used.
