Tell him to shove this BS up his ass, lift does not affect actuator work. Drive line angles do not affect actuator work, it’s way in middle past the axles. Shitty breather location (stock) does, water gets in. So move it up the engine bay.

Modified the level of gas in the tank
Wait...they're fixing it, under warranty...what's the problem here?

To put an addendum on the bold above...

Should you choose this option, do it when they actually deny the warranty work...if it's still warranted

full of shit. Ask him how? The front diff is securely mounted and the only thing would be the cvs affected. I may have a front diff actuator from a second gen with the diff tube you can bring in and ask him how the hell it is affected.

the way they are making it out to be a favour rather then doing their job. Yes they are replacing it, but if it fails again it should be replaced again. The lift isn’t affecting it. I would ensure that if the actuator fails it’s a Toyota issue not a suspension problem.

Now that I know where it is mounted...I agree absolutely zero to do with the lift.
I called him back and asked him to make sure he saves the actuator as I want to see it.
    He asked why?
I said because Its my actuator off my truck...lol..he was completely puzzled.
Guaranteed when I sunk it she sucked up a bunch of water...but I ain't telling him that.
That just confirms to me zero to do with a lift.

There is a breather for it and the unit should be sealed. On the new unit make sure the breather is connected. Water intrusion shows it’s a failure of the stock system that you didn’t modify. Additionally if you are “sinking” your truck, a extension on the breather may be needed. I do believe that it t’s to the breather for the front diff into the engine bay.

After they finish and return truck, check and re-torque all the bolts. When Toyota did my rack in Edmonton they forgot to hookup all the wiring to front actuator, zip-tied my P/S lines and were missing other bolts and nuts... :annoyed: I was rushing and going other places, so didn't want to spend more time that I needed to... The service girls were hot, the only reason to visit West Edmonton Mall Toyota...

The same reason I took my 8-free services to Collingwood Toyota, reception lady was smokin’ hot. Not hot enough to make me pay dealer prices for oil changes and visual inspections.
