Have had optics, IR lasers and lights, and the like go down on me in real world. You just push through it, keep a level head, and solve it.

Not saying people shouldn’t get the most reliable option, always, hands down. But one in a billion, one in a million, or one in a thousand, all of those still have a one. Gotta just solve it.

Yeah I’ve run it through the paces, I haven’t had any issues with it so far. Battery life isn’t great.
I agree that you should test your equipment where it’ll be utilized, and I do intend to buy something built for the task when I can. For now it’s doing the job, and at least gives me a light.

@Coma 13 is that the Arisaka mount? And which Streamlight are you running? @OnePuttBlunder same question about the model Streamlight.

Yes it is an Arisaka offset mount. The Streamlight is an HL-X. I have been real pleased with this setup.

Modlite is #1, but they're also pricey. If you want the best bang for buck light get an Arisaka 300/600 series with Malkoff head. I've been using them for years with great success. Next best thing to Modlite imo.

Surefire pistol lights are still good, but their rifle lights have been outclassed for a few years now. Streamlight, Modlite, Arisaka, Cloud Defensive would all be better choices, whether cheaper, better quality/output or both.

I purchased the Streamlight HLX/Arisaka mount/Cloud Defensive switch mount for my 11.5. Great light, mounts are great, everything works fine, but man the light is massive. Wish I would have saved for a modlight tbh. I am open to selling the whole package.

    Avoid O-Light.

    Streamlight HLX at a minimum.
