Anyone have a DeWalt 744 table saw?

I have the 8 1/4" blade DeWalt table saw and it's been great, but I'm finding the small blade is too limiting. I'd like to get a used 10" portable. Prices for new are way more than I want to spend.

They discontinued the 745 (10" portable) some time ago and they aren't easy to find used at a sane price. I did find a 744 though, asking price is $200. Does anyone have experience with that one?

 

I have the 749 and have zero complaints.

Thanks, I did see that. It only happened once from what I've read. Out thousands (tens of thousands?) they likely sold, and that it was a voluntary recall, I don't find it too concerning. I think I'll call tomorrow and ask some questions, maybe go see it.

 

I wouldn’t hesitate, they’re good saws.
