I have not read too many stories about adding higher bumps stops after lifting your Tacomas.
I did add the “Duro bumps” longer to match the 2inch lift, for the front and rear of my 2019 Tacoma

Duro bumps mentions more control, comfort from hard suspension botton outs. You will get improved handling, no-loss of up-travel, increase of suspension life, reduce bump steer, and uses OME location mounts. (Easy in stall ).

    Duro bumps $127, USA made
    Timbre bump stops
    Energy suspension bump stops
    Sumo bump stops
Icon & fox bumps stops works like a shock adsorption, expensive.

How many of you added aftermarket higher bump stops?

I’ve got Timbren active off road in the rear and sumos in the front. I actually just added spacers in the rear for the Timbren. There was about 2” of space and from what I can tell, you want 1.5-.5” space .

One thing I did was set a camera to record them in use. Here’s the videos in case you’re curious.

Timbren makes excellent bump stops. Just beware the center holes will collect dirt/ mud. When it is pack full of debris it will effect its performance. When it is hang upside down, less problems.

I almost order the Timbren, because of the holes, I decided on Duro bump stops. I do like the Sumo bump stops, not sure what colors. Colors are the way there are made/ performance, the hardness.
When I made my purchase of my Duro bump stops , the pricing of the Sumo at that time , was a factor. Today I wish I did buy the Sumo instead for the rear.

    Awesome videos! Thank you.

Thanks. I need to record the rear with the spacer and see how it looks.

I’ve not had any issues with them filling up, at least that I could tell. When I took them apart to add the spacer there was not much of anything. I did spray wool wax inside there before since it’s supposed to be safe for that type of thing.

Yes! That was a problem ,hole fill up with debris, when I was reading the reviews years ago. Glad you do not have that problem. I live on a dirt road farm, it rains a lot, my whole under side is full of mud. My mechanic hate crawling under my truck. The worst he ever sees. Just wash my truck today , I did not expect rain, it raining again.lol.FA1E3707-E62C-4BB9-8B25-33654408E8A1.jpg

Thank you , The last couple of years it has been raining a lot. Most of the mud puddles I have been filling the “puka’s” Hawaiian word for holes with small rocks, and it helps.

So if you every visit Hawaii, and go hiking, the locals may say watch out for the “puka”, (holes) , you will understand.

Another very common Hawaiian word is “”PAU”. Means. Finish, done, I am “PAU” here.

The eBay plugs will not work in the Timbren , due the amount of compression. Thanks
Best to watch the Sumo bumps stops. I am going to switch ,in the near future to Sumo’s. I carry a lot of weight in my bed.
