    all tore up already
If you put something in the bed it will level its self... just throwing that one out there for those who dont understand the factory rake

Which half were you thinking of lifting? Drivers side, or passenger side? Seems like an odd idea, but it's your truck...

I jest! Over 2.5" lift upfront and your axles and suspension will be at an angle to cause increased wear/possible binding.
I lifted mine 2" up front at first with 5100's, but I didn't like not being able to see over the hood as easily, and getting in and out of the truck seemed a pain in the butt. I took the struts out and set the lift at .75" and haven't looked back; the truck is level, and with airbags in the back, I can keep it that way when loaded. I'm happy with the stock ground clearance, and was more concerned with keeping it level.

TRD dealer installed 2” lift on mine. Very pleased with it. The ride is outstanding. I didn’t buy the truck for mpg anyway….who buys a truck for mpg?

It has to remain plugged in. It intercepts the factory signal, which comes from the ABS system, and converts it by the factory set in the module. The module then sends that signal to the speedo cluster, and ECM.

Rackum... I like your truck! What size tires are those? Would it be a safe assumption that your dealer put on the fox shocks that come with the TRD Pro? Um, no one that I know buys a truck for MPG. Not even me. It just trying to take all factors into consideration before I spend a bunch of money.

Thanks! They are BFG KO2’s 265/75/16. This is the 2” lift that comes with the Bilstein shocks for the TRD Off Road and Sport. I don’t believe this works on the SR or SR5. Also comes with the heritage PRO grill.

The lift is a dealer add on and gives 2” with the shocks in the front with stock springs and top hats, the rear is just a 1” block. These can be installed on any 3rd gen Tacoma as I have these shocks and a 1” block installed on my SR5 2WD truck. If you’re looking to get the OEM lift without all the extras that are not needed you can order just the shocks that already reuse your stock springs and top hats for under $400 shipped and then purchase a 1” block for around $90. The only other piece people might want is the TRD Pro Grille which can also be had cheap nowadays online with or without the front camera mounting hole.

tires give your look truck the “higher look” not the lift

lift allows you to run those tires

    lift barley affects mpg
    Tires will greatly affect mpg

    expect 14-17 on 33s
    11-14 on 35s

where you live and how you drive affects it greatly

I can push 21 mpg on 35s in the Florida keys but in Orlando I average 13.
