    HELP!!!
My oem deck (non jbl) went out a few days ago n today I went to install n aftermarket deck n still not turning on.

I checked the fuses under dash (there r 3) and all seem ok…does anyone have a diagram of oem deck?

Do you have one for the under dash fuse box? I have a feeling it’s a cable since all fuses for Radio1-Radio2-Radio3 r good

Have you checked power at the connection to the deck/radio?

Likely it's something easier than that, especially if you were messing with something. Nevertheless, they are attached.

Do you own a test light?
And do you know how to read wiring diagrams?

A voltage meter works, but I find them cumbersome to use.

    I’d start by checking powers.
At the fuse and then at the radio.
    Then move to grounds.

Did the new radio use the same connectors?
Was it the same style radio as the old one?

Haven’t heard the term deck for a radio in years now. Brings back the memories.

No…I didn’t touch no cables. I got to work bumping music n when I left it didn’t turn on.

    I don’t have a tester…this is the reason I’m asking for help.

But you removed your factory head unit and installed an aftermarket one right? That takes a certain amount of skill so I guess I thought maybe you where just joking definitely not trying to be rude at all. Before you go any further I would get a multi meter and make sure you have power and ground at the wire harness. You don’t need a fancy one just a 12 dollar Walmart special will work just fine. Again sorry if I came off as a dick.

i just thought maybe the stereo went out n by me swapping it out was gonna fix it lol.
But yeah it has to be some wire that’s not properly hooked up.

    no worries…no harm done.
I’ll pick one up n hit u up when I do.

Be careful when checking fuses. A bad fuse can still look good on visual inspection. Best to run a continuity test on the fuse, or replace them one by one with a new fuse.

You need a test light. Need to check continuous power and acc power with the test light. Also check fuses with the test light.
