I’m going to have to take another shower to get the whip cream off me but it was worth it. But a fella shouldn’t have to take but one shower a day it just isn’t healthy!!

Well you said your wife was out of town. And I know you weren't fishing today so that leaves a lot of possibilities for you to get into trouble

When I was 6or7 parents took us on vacation to Alabama where my father was from. So it was kind of a homestead, neighbors were all related, grammas house was home base. Me and all my cousins are playing “hide and seek “, I crawl under my dad’s car and there’s a rattlesnake and he ain’t happy. Long story short, I didn’t get bit, my uncle killed it with a hard tine rake, scares me to this day. Remember my uncle saying “ dumb yankee” ,who hides under a car.

    :hattip:Evening everyone

That brings back memories of my Mom , Dad and my Brother and i when we would head to Placerville Calif for our annual camping trip to the S. Fork of the American River . If the rv trailer wasn't being towed with my parents station wagon we usually stopped along side the road to eat lunch like in that pic

A few times though my brother and I convinced our parents to stop outside Stockton CA at either the A& W Root beer restaurant or the Bob's big boy within an hour west of Placerville in the small town Ione CA

    Good times !!!!

In Michigan we have rest stops run by the highway department, some really nice scenic spots. Mom would have a cooler with sandwiches and snacks. We would stop , have lunch, go to the bathroom, dad would always share a beer with mom,”no drinking and driving “. Sure do miss the simpler times, we’ll some of it anyways.
