Welp, she got bored on my patio & took care of my Money Tree...also bit my decorative string lights in half

 

Waiting for his ride in your Tacoma. My GSD goes in the bed of my Tacoma for at least 2 rides a day. Rain or shine

 

Careful! Next thing to go might be the A/C. My lab ate the legs off a coffee table and a box of tile grout.

 

My friends won't be invited back with their dog again, that'll solve the issue. That tile grout is quite an accomplishment, similar to the cinnamon challenge I'd imagine!

 

Yeah and his poops were solid for a week after! Somebody got a bath and is all fluffy and clean smelling.

Tessa went out on her first trail ride today. Did well, seemed to enjoy the forest through the window. We did a short hike to the Woodstock Fire Tower. She climbed three flights up and down like a champ. Pretty good for seven months old and new experiences.

FYI - I was looking for a good tug of war toy for Tessa and found this from Nerf. If your dog is a chewers, stay away from this. She had it for about 10 minutes. I don't think we need vet bills to have these pieces removed.

 

Kimo is a heavy chewer. With the exception of the original Kong in the black, heavier chew toy, he's destroyed almost any "heavy chewer" toy. You need to be careful with Nylabones as well.

 

I try not get to get synthetics if I don't have to for chews. And we passed up on the Nylabone dental chews as well. We have an "unstuffed" stuffed fox from "Zippy Paws" that she loves to tug on, and it she split it next to a seam a couple days ago when she lost her grip and slid through her teeth cutting the fabric. These Zippy Paws things are good for about an hour. Riley used to take the eyeballs out and then the ears. Kimo just rips the shit out of them.

Sydney had her CCL surgery today. Month with the cone of shame and zero activity. Then a full 8-10 weeks until full recovery. Oof



Dixie is concerned and just as sad

 

Only 8-10 weeks? My vet said 6 months until full recovery. This is Nox, one week after CCL surgery in December, and our second Corso to have it done.

 

Ah I misspoke, no answer on full recovery, 8-10 until back to "normal". Though another buddy's dog had theirs last year and it was even quicker than that. I assume breed and the size of the pup plays a factor too. Syd is 65 pounds, very athletic and has always been healthy. So hoping for a quick recovery, she's outside 80% of the day so she's going to be pretty miserable. This morning she already tried to galop on 3 legs.
