Hey guys I’m going to be installing new Ironman4x4 uca’s this weekend and will be heading to the alignment shop after. I was wondering what do I ask for when doing the alignment with the built in caster in the uca’s? Do I just tell them to align it with factory specs? Or do I ask them to add more caster in and do ask them to add positive caster through the LCA I know if they add it through uca’s it will push the wheel back towards the fire wall which I don’t want. Any info is appreciated

I am told to request closest to 0 on camber; about .05+ Toe in on each side so a total of .10 Toe - makes for better handling in corners. 3-4 Degrees positive on CASTER_ I just installed UCA too and my alignment isn't schedule until next week friday with Toyota.

I am just praying my lower control arm bolts aren't seized. If they are; I'm cutting them out and throwing DirtKing some money for replacements.

I’m not familiar with the Ironman UCA, but generally you want to align the truck to spec unless you have personal preference for something else.

If there are caster and camber adjustments on your UCA similar to on the SPC and you are trying the fit over sized tires, you have the option of maxing out the caster on the LCA and then bringing stuff back into spec using the UCA. This will move the tire forward a bit and give more clearance from the cab mount.

    Good info here:

you want positive caster not camber, I think that's what you meant cause that's what you said first but just wanna make sure the OP is aware

I know they will put the camber and toe in spec but I here everyone going with 3-4* of caster but if that’s being done with uca’s that’s actually pushing your tire closer to the fire is that correct?

That depends on which adjustment you are using. Increasing caster at the UCA moves the wheel backwards and adjusting it at the LCA moves it forward. Take this with some doubt, because I have never adjusted my own alignment. There is a post about on here describing the process which I read some time ago.

The Ironman Uca is not adjustable it has 4* of caster built in. All your adjustment will be done at the lca.

Yes that’s what I was thinking so if I ask them to give me 3* of caster they will achieve that by adjusting the lower control arm then correct?
