I forgot I ordered these Army Green letter overlays, since they have been on backorder for a few months. They had every other color, but of course not Army Green. To my surprise, they showed up today! I liked the black, but I like the color match much better.
    20220601_125917.jpg

While I was at it, I finally put the letters on the tailgate handle. I wanted the front and back to match, OCD ha.

Yep. We made a detour on our way home from camping at the north end of the Olympic Peninsula. Pretty cool to see the towers up close.

We’re driving down the west coast living the dispersed camping life and up through the interior for 4 weeks on our wedding/honeymoon in July and thought it might be a good idea to show where we’re from???? Not a good idea?? Do you Americans approve of us?? Lol

At least everyone will know you’re unarmed. Probably not the place for political jokes, but we’re basically neighbors so I figured it’d be Ok. Flag does look cool though!

You are correct.. Unarmed for sure. Sad to hear what's going state side on the news. Not basically neighbors, we are, and looking forward to exploring your beautiful country.

Thank you, yeah they have a hard time but they still love being out camping they’ve been our travel companions for 15 years. As you can see a slight wind pushes them around these days.

That's the plan!! I appreciate the kind words. I'd love to ask the question "any advice traveling through your country?" LOL but I feel there's a thread for that...

    Oh look, another mod....

That question is subjective. It depends on where you're going, how long you're going to stay, etc.. Then we can tell you where to sight see, where to eat, where to camp/park and most importantly....where to stay away from at all costs.

Oh, and while you are visiting out country, please...forgive us for some of the raging idiot drivers that we have in.

If you ever find yourself in Virginia, do not speed.

other than that, I use iOverlander for finding places to camp if you’re looking for dispersed areas.

If you want back roads through Washington state stampede pass is nice. There can be some great mountain views up there. The Washington and Oregon coasts are beautiful so I’d suggest working a stretch of the drive down. Kahlaloch has some nice beaches and a campground. Also, the Hoh rain Forrest is amazing. Mt Rainier National Park is nice but usually pretty crowded, along with Mt St Helen’s monument. Central oregon has some really nice places also if you’re into hiking and kayaking. If you have questions feel free to PM me and I’ll see what I can answer for you! Sounds like an incredible vacation you’re going to be on!

Added some of the leftover Heatwave Pro insulation to the underside of the front splash shields last night. This helped on my tC but the shields on this are only about 6" wide against the firewall area so I don't think it will make a huge difference. There was some factory foam there so Toyota knows this is an area that can be quieted down. Also ordered 8 more sheets of the Second Skin Damplifier Pro to do the front floors, transmission tunnel and as much of the firewall as I can access without removing the dash. Hopefully with these last few areas done it will help mute the only remaining road noise I'm hearing.

Starting my dog habitat in the cap...

Making a shelf/drawer for 2 impact crates for 2 german shepards on top (crates wont sit side by side without building floor to level of wheel wells.
Just finished up lighting from @mattgecko... cannibalized my bed/hood lights for the cap.
Ran a new 12v to power a swamp cooler (got it off etsy) for summer months.
Bluetooth temp/humidity monitor to monitor temps in the cap. (dogs won't be in there if we're not driving)

Can post a progress build thread if anyone wants to see.
