Be careful of buying a used one, if you do find somewhere that can test and calibrate. I’ve seen many way out of spec because they were put away without being set back to zero.

I got this one on Amazon a year ago and liked it enough to buy the 250 lb. one too. I just happened to test both of my wrench’s accuracies against my buddy’s Snap-on last week and they were both right on, within a shit hair of the 10xs more expensive snap-on.

I don’t know if they’ll last as long as the Snap-on, but they definitely aren’t bad quality. I just used the bigger one a few days ago to torque my crankshaft pulley bolt on my 4runner to 217 ft. lbs. and it worked great.

I do a lot of wrenching, mostly suspension. I wanted higher end, so I own 2 Snap-On torque wrenches. A large click type, and a digital one that does 5-100 ft lbs. They are super nice, have owned them for over 5 years. I recently bought a torque comparator to make sure they are in spec.

The HF has time and again been shown to be very accurate out-of-the-box for short money. You can even double check the accuracy yourself - lots of YT vids on how to do it. I DO agree that most of the time it's not REALLY necessary, even though I myself use them all the time.

I have 7 - two Precision Instruments split beams, one Delco digital, one Husky, one Sata, and two cheap HF clickers. On top of that, I have 4 digital torque adapters - one HF Pittsburgh, two Delcos, and one HF Quinns. And I'm just DIY, but I have a tool hoarding problem and freely admit to it.

I was going to say PM me and for the price of shipping, I'll send you my HF ones, but realized shipping them would likely cost more than you just jaunting down to your nearest HF and buying them off the shelf.

You can also count the ugha-dughas like Eric from South Main Auto, but it takes years of experience to know how many ugha-dughas.

CDI is the company that makes Snap on torque wrenches. They are high quality torque wrenches. You can buy them on Amazon. Once your friends find out you have one it will get used more than twice a year.
