    I'm at 200,000 miles,
I got a timing chain kit from another member (I think he said he got it from yotashop?).

I just opened up the kit I bought, and no seals. So a big thanks for the part numbers.

After I took the crank pulley off I noticed chunks of rubber were missing from the backside of it, so I'll order the seals and pulley. And wait for delivery

Heat gun for the win. What a difference! Put some 303 Aero on it afterward. Hopefully it holds up for a while.

Drove my Tacoma for a 700 miles trip to visit grandchildren in the south-east.
Don't know where to post my pics, show your DCLB, or in scenic places, or in sunrise ????
So I post in this thread

Are part numbers good for a 4 or 6 cylinder?

I loved those wheels on my 08 speedway blue. Unfortunately they were peeling pretty bad so changed to 4runner trail wheels. Not really an improvement but at least they are new with new tires.

Meanwhile..I am going to try and get some quotes on repainting my hood and roof tomorrow. That will determine if the roof gets new paint or raptor lining. Roof looks like there is white talcum powder embedded in the paint from sun baked clear coat. Feels like 120 grit sandpaper. Hood needs paint real bad. So thin that the base coat is starting to flake in small spots.

Truth. I've washed my truck once in that last three years. My paints fucked but I don't really care about that.

I just got back from a 3500 mile trip to Texas and back, and had to wash the truck twice because it dried half way through the first wash.

Finished off my "stock" stereo upgrade with an amp, subwoofer, speakers, and tweeters (and LOC).

    Couple lessons learned...

    1) Even good OFC Speaker wire is relatively cheap, get extra.

    2) The difference between 80% sound treatment and 90% was more than expected. I had down doors (access cab), b-pillar, rear panel, floor and a little bit of the firewall/a-pillars. But I didn't have all the nooks and crannys near the gear shift and back to underneath the dash. Once I did that area with the extra material I had lying around, i had an all new experience.

Now in hindsight, it makes perfect sense because now the transmission is covered but yeah, now it sound like I have the 2.7 4-banger!
