I stick my hand over the transmission from under the truck and pulled them off the clamps. It's a tight fit...took my a long time.

The clamps have glue to secure the lines to them for the transfer case

Let me know if this helps...for the transmission, you pop it off the clamp from up top. the same area in the video to remove the breather for the transmission

Awesome man thanks. I'll have to take skids off. But I'm gonna do it. I have this setup. I have 3 going to the breather now. It will allow for 3 more. 20170725_183008.jpg 20170725_183022.jpg

Doesn't seem like you really need to do the transfer case transmission or front differential unless your going o do super deep water in which case you would likely need other modifications. Right or wrong?

I haven’t read through all of these, but I am in the process of installing an ARB diff breather on my 2014 Tacoma with a 6 MT

I have learned a couple things:
The 2 “breathers everyone is talking about are for the front diff and front diff actuator and the are not true breathers, but Vent Valves...they breath out, but slam shut if you try to breath in. That can be a bad thing for your seals. Exactly why everyone does the rear diff breather mod with a true breather.

Next, on my truck the Xmsn and Xfer have a common line joined by a T-fitting then the hose is routed upon top of the Xmsn and to the top of the engine/Xmsn bell housing. A real pain to get at!

One other consideration is if you place the ARB breather inside the engine bay, there is a distinct possibility of having the smell of gear oil come into the cab when you have your vent and/or heater on

i finally connect all four lines on my taco the other month. had to run a long line from the rear differential and connected the front 3 breathers to a ARB breather. looks awesome.

Seems to me that the stock breathers for the transfer case and the front diff are already mounted in a decent position (high enough out of harm's way when crossing water). I would think that the only one that should be modified is the rear. What do you guys think? I'm thinking I'll just get the 30 kit for one breather line instead of the $70 ARB kit.

i did all four, it wasnt that bad, and ran the rear diff breather all the way to the front connected to the breather. i already ran into a water crossing deep enough to reach all my breathers.

Man that's some deep water. Almost deep enough to get to the battery. I think I'd be worried about other issues crossing that deep. But I'm salty from my old jeep. I crossed water deep enough for it to come into my windows and I ended up chasing a few problems after that. I don't think I'd ever go that deep so I'm just going to go with the rear mod.

    Quick question-
What are you guys using to connect/adapt the existing rubber hose from the front diff/trans runs to the ARB plastic lines?
I haven’t seen a reccoemndtaion on that yet.
They have different internal diameters and the ARB line is stiffer plastic not rubber.

Something to keep in mind is that the rubber hoses are different sizes. I ordered a bunch of different size barb fittings to make sure the fit was just right.
