No sir - no pride here- Always turn your back to the truck to avoid overspray.

Reaching into the bed or across the windshield is another story though

am Pro grille w/lights, black tailgate letters, black badging, 265-70-17 Duratrac "c", Rear seat platform,
I need 4wd to be able to get to my cabin in the winter. The snow gets deep and the roads get crappy. 30-40 years ago I was an avid off-roader. Now I want a truck that is reliable, looks great, and gets me some reasonable gas mileage. In late 2019 I found a used 2017 TRD Sport AC in Inferno with less than 20K on it. The truck was in almost showroom condition. Traded in my 2011 Gen II work truck (4cyl, MT, 4x4, SC, LB, manual EVERYTHING) Just had the oil changed yesterday at 55K. I've put 35K on this Sport (my 6th Toyota and my 3rd Toyota truck) without ever having one hiccup. I have never been in a situation where I thought I would have been better off with an OR or Pro. When I was a young man I would have wanted the biggest, baddest one they made. Now I'm more interested in basic functionality and reliability. I occasionally tow my or my son's utility trailers. This truck fits me perfectly. I fully understand that not everyone has the same needs or wants in a vehicle. My son just received the VIN# last week for the lime green Pro he ordered in February. He's hoping to see it land here in Michigan within the next 3-4 weeks. I'll never understand why so many people in these forums feel the need to question someone else's choice in vehicle model when the person doing the questioning will likely never even see that other person's truck in person. To each his own!

Have the best day you can!

To all the ^%$#& that want to complain about a non-functional hood scoop...how many of you have non-functioning stickers all over your windows? How many have added skid plates that have never touched the ground. I personally think the scoop looks nice on my truck. No different than if you prefer body-colored or black flares and bumpers. Be happy with what you have and stop hating on others for what they have. Kids these days.....sheesh

    Congrats.

Do yourself a favour. Get the Manual out, and play with all the off road goodies and get yourself acquainted. Rear locker, Crawl Control, 4hi, 4low etc. You'll wish you did it sooner.

I love the soft OR suspension, specially in PR roads.

I would have gone with an off-road if thy offered it in the config that I wanted which is a DCLB V6 Manual but they don't offer that in any trim so the next best thing would of been an access cab V6 6MT in the off-road but that not offered in the states so then its over to the sport access cab V6 6MT the scoop is nice and all but its nonfunctional so I made it mildly functional by putting a light bar in it but otherwise I would of just rather had the factory locker and black plastics. I even wrapped my fender flares matte black for the same effect

When test driving OR vs Sport, the OR got the wife’s seal of approval as “more comfortable ride”…. Helped seal the deal since I wanted all the other OR features which she didn’t care about.

That was a truly excellent video showing how 3 different Tacoma's handled the same set of obstacles. Very well done.

That said, the Sport looked way way better doing it.

That's funny. I though the SR5 did better than the Sport, without any traction controls....

Toyota is really lacking in the department of configuration options. I'd like a V6 SR AC 4x4 with a rear locker, the only three options should be auto or manual - halogen or LED headlights, and rear seat delete.

Any wheel base should be configured with any drive train option. You should also be able to chose what ever appearance pkg you want. Sport or Off Road.

Nope Toyota builds trucks the way they do, and it saves the consumer money. Well it makes Toyota money.

Did you miss the fact the SR5 had rubber more suited to the terrain?
