For me, I have long legs and never really felt supported by the seat and would get low back pain. The power seats were a slight improvement over my 2nd gen, but the risers make it so I'm completely supported by the seat.

Glad you figured out the connector situation. I try to make it clear in the instructions, but it can still be a little confusing. I can't believe Toyota allowed for two identical connectors in the Head Unit interface.

Exactly like that, except I was under the driver's fender wondering "how the fuck am I gonna get to work tomorr-- waitaminnit, how the fuck am I going to close the garage door wit the fuckin truck sticking out like that!?" ..."Oh Wait! Cam Bolts! I feel better."

... There might have also been some periods of experimentation on how my LCA interacts with my big rubber mallet. :anonymous::anonymous:

Turns out, LCAs can brush off a mallet attack as if it were a light kiss from a bump stop. But I didnt think of that at the time.

It does look pretty tall, you still have the stock 265-65's? They'll make it look that way. How much lift did you get & how did the alignment go?

    Anyways now you need tires.

265-70-17s. Don't want to go much bigger than that, its primary purpose is to tow the popup.

Getting it aligned tonight or tomorrow, and possibly a quote on how much to reset it to a lower clip.

The came-with-the-shock 650s up front, Icon AAL in rear, kept the overload in.

The 3rd gen I'm working on (Wife's rig) has the same size tires. Just did the front today. Rear Dakars tomorrow. Out with the old in with the new. Bye bye spacer lift never again. I will be using her OEM leaf springs to bandaid fix my 2nd gen until I get a set of Dakars also. Banks a little low after buying all 4 Bilstein 5100's, OME Dakars and Rough country upper control arms.

my old set up was prety heavy, canopy/ tent/ ect and running 35's and it feels like it picks the rear tires up

new set up is much lighter and man it stops on a dime

Bought an OEM hard tonneau all mounting hardware included for $200. Except it's missing the front pin and the two bolts it needs....which I noticed and figured whatever....BUT the 12, scratch that, 11 bolts he gave me aren't the OEM bolts and aren't the right size. I still feel like it's a good deal, I would have bought it either way. Just wish the person would have said up front that he didn't really have ALL the hardware. Probably why he sent his cute girlfriend to meet me, figured I wouldn't hassle her.

Now I just need to figure out what size those bolts are so I can go buy them....I could order the OEM bolts but I want to put the damn thing on..... lol

PFL Customs roof rack, Body Armor Hi-line bumper. X20 Gen 2 Smittybilt winch, PFL Customs bed rack. Dirt bound rack supports.
5000lb trailer weight on the enclosed 4900lb on the flat bed those ome leafs are intense truck not squatting at all, the redarc trailer brakes are amazing! I am towing the enclosed one to Alaska with the taco and the flat bed will be behind the f350.

Well, dealership said it's not leaking and was residual oil from the change. I took it home and cleaned it up... again. Now to check it again after the next drive.

Just put in a new battery, the old one gave very little warning that it was on its way out. Weak start this morning and no start at lunch.
I can’t feel too bad about the stock battery getting almost 6 years and 78,000 miles, but the new one was almost $200!
