Today I was cleaning up my wheels and tires and noticed that there are some deep scratches and gashes on both my wheels and hub caps. They are all located right in where the lugs tighten onto the bolts. I m guessing this happened when I took the truck in for an oil change and had the tires rotated a few weeks ago. Has anyone had this happen to them? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Pics will be posted tomorrow.

I went for road force balancing on my 2006 Tundra back in 2007 at the dealership. The wheels were the BBS 18 baskets (upgraded option at the time of purchase) and were flawless when I went in. I picked up my truck at night after delay and delay and just wanted to get the hell out of there. The next day I did a walk around and noticed that 2 of the 4 rims where completely scratched to hell around the lug area. I went back to the dealership and the service manager chuckled a bit then explained to me it was impossible because they use rubber coated tools for the wheels. I called corp and they said something should have been said when I picked the vehicle up.

Needless to say I NEVER leave anywhere after work has been done without a full walk around these days.

... as for the dealership, it was Toyota Of Tampa Bay and I try to steer everyone away from them as much as I can...
