Does anyone know where I can find a front flag mount?
I need the nount I have the flag already.
I have it mounted temporarily...but think under the bumper might be better.

Have options for you. Personally I just took some bar steel, bent it and drilled a few holes to make a mount. Though I was able to source a quick disconnect flag base from a friend, it was pretty simple to do:


After setting it up I decided to move it to the passenger side for visibility:

 

I like the fact you moved it out to the side ...do you get a lot of movement from the mount ?

 

Negative. I haven’t hit it on anything yet but it’s 3/8” steel, it’s solid

 

Off to the metal shop!! How long of a piece did you use?

 

I think I bought a piece about 2 feet long from the hardware store, and didn’t really bother measuring the piece I cut out. I just held it by my bumper and eyeballed it, the rest was just some back and forth between the work bench and angle grinder

 

Probably won't hurt to get a pool noodle to put around the flag pole though. It will flop around quite a bit on the dunes.

 

Pipe insulation is a little smaller diameter...plus it's not neon green. Wait....that might be kinda cool.

 

Man I thought I had a Monopoly on pool noodle mods for the trucks

 

You need to up your noodle game

The shown option is the best, whatever you do, do not get the suction cup ones they sell by the dunes. I will echo the pool noodle recommendation also. Looks like you are getting prepared!

 

Oh and I do not know if it has been brought up, but stay out of the water holes in the dunes... They are deeper than a tacoma can handle.
