    Something like this?
Blue Sea Systems ST Blade ATO/ATC Fuse Blocks https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001P6FTHC

Dual battery's and a smart solar charging system would be awesome but probably more than I would ever need (but that's also exactly why I want it)

I do plan on running a winch at some point but would like to make some improvements to the old wiring first

Yep that’s the one. I like Simple and organized.

I prob don’t need another battery but am wondering if I should. I’ll be putting just some flush mount leds on the rear bumper, ditch lights and led strips in the cap.

currently searching for a locking rear axle and front end for the swap so tossing around whether I’ll wire that to the Oem box or add to the blue sea box.

You are right about the 2nd battery being a little extra

Having that rear locker is definitely going to be handy. If there's any pre existing wiring to make it easier to add into the oem fuse panel it might be worth it. If not I'd say add it to the new one so you fiddle with the old wiring that much less

Granted my 98 doesn't have ABS but I put mine on the passenger side and it's fine there. If you plan on running switchbacks for switches inside the cab it's nice to have that real estate on the passenger side to create another passthrough through the firewall.

Still haven't installed one in my 04 with ABS but I assume I'm going to put it on the passenger side much the same.IMG_6851.jpg IMG_6850.jpg

That’s really where I was thinking of doing it. I orginally thought it was a little unconventional running leads across the firewall from the battery but I really like the space on that side. I can foresee it being a lot neater.

    I’m sold, thanks @Madjik_Man

    Looks like is belongs there.

Who needs ABS anyway. I've only felt it active once since I swapped to the 13WL Calipers and 231mm rotors anyway and that was Yesterday while chasing after my brother through the desert.

Skid marks are half the fun!

I'm terrible about getting pictures while playing in the dirt so I'll have to see if my brother got anything better

I hate ABS. And on my ‘04 I want to delete it the proper way (removing the module, sensors, etc). Not by just pulling a fuse.

I'll probably get around to that eventually.

I've got some more projects coming in that I'd like to handle first.

Once I get my garage back (construction project from hell) I’m going to install my suspension that’s been sitting in my bedroom for 1.5 years.

I might buy new LCAs just to make the new bushing job easier.

Was it painful in terms of pricing?

Shit, wait. Are those UCAs? I can’t see on my phone.

It's always painful coming from Toyota.

The Lower Control Arm's were about $220 each

The Lower Ball joints are another $110 each

alignment hardware, weld on cam tabs, durobumps...
Factor in shipping and taxes and and and and:lalala:

I ended up not going the oem route on lbjs when I put the lift on and wish I would have. That suspension you have is going to be solid.

Speaking of high prices, today Toyota quoted me $63 for 18 plastic clips for my fenders.

bought 20 off Amazon for $20.

I was surprised none of my clips broke when I installed the snorkel.

    What clips did you get

I may need some in the future if I ever get around to treating my fender flares

It was an expensive day of web wheeling and I was feeling a little guilty about spending that much but still excited :bananadance:

And them the check engine light came back on:bananadead:

it ended up being a couple more days of web wheeling but I think I'm headed in the right direction this time

I guess you could call it Virtual Mall Crawling, shopping 14 different website looking for correct parts using Ebay part number images to check dealership parts. I couldn't find some things and went to NAPA's website but the system doesn't have any options for a 4door tacoma for 2003 so it thinks I have an extra cab. My head was hurting and partsgeek had the same part listing 2 times but with a price difference of $170 accord to the name and it never ends

I let the 4runner sunglass holder ferment on the parts shelf long enough.

The fuel pump hanger and fuel line I ordered from Toyota arrived but ended up being a flop (my fault not theirs).
Parts received were for the 16gal tank found on the extra cab
    Return shipping is a bitchIMG_20220608_094053.jpg
Dead give away is the missing port for the fuel pressure sensor that receives information from the fuel sending unit and the pressurized fuel line leaving the tank is threaded where mine uses a simple plastic clip hopefully someone can learn from my mistakes.
:anonymous: out of frustration and desperation I ordered a complete fuel pump hanger assembly from Ebay and the entire thing was only $103 delivered to my house. $17 less than just the bare bones fuel pump hanger from Toyota.

Now that's looking more like it!
The fuel pump arrived just after 3pm on Friday and the AC in my house happened to be out so it was actually cooler in the garage than it was in the house :bananadead: perfect excuse to hang out in the garage.

I had already ordered a replacement fuel guage sending unit from Toyota in January so I swapped that onto the new pump assembly before dropping it in the tank
    IMG_20220617_164544.jpg
I did drill 2 holes in the Toyota unit in order to mount it to the aftermarket hanger with the existing hardware, a little unexpected but easy enough.

Denso sending unit from Toyota was $150 PN 83320-35580
    IMG_20220617_202948.jpg
I had a hard time finding the correct pressure sensor for the tank and ended up going with what they had at Napa for around $120

at least I have a spare fuel pump now.

New hardware included always makes me smile, no more Philip's screws packed with dirt
    IMG_20220617_203935.jpg
We slapped a new OEM tank band in before throwing the tank back underneath, the old one had bolts busted off inside that were sloppily drilled out for whatever random hardware the previous owner had on hand, I wasn't about to trust it to hold the extra weight of the Low Range tank skid I've had collecting dust on a shelf since November.

It was definitely nice having a friend over for immoral support this time around, even if he drives a suburban.

    Jiggle jiggle jiggle
    IMG_20220618_125309.jpg

I've suspected for a while now that the thermostat in my truck was going to have the jiggle valve sitting at the 12 o'clock position and sure enough it was.
New OEM Thermostat installed with the jiggle valve at 6 o'clock

Oh and more parts arrived :bananadance:

Now that I have everything for the LCA's project that nagging voice in my head is telling me I should add wheel bearings to the list and finally burn on the Spindle gussets while I'm at it.
