New (to me) truck, new member, small annoyances

Hi all,

Been lurking for a while getting a ton of great info. I picked up a 2021 OR LB and love it! Already got new wheels/tires, bilstein 6112’s and 5160’s on the way, and rock sliders ready to install.
Just wanted to post the few things that bug me and see if there are remedies:
1. Remote start turns off when unlocking. I think I read this one is what it is.
2. Window lock button also locks driver buttons. I just want to keep my kids from playing with the windows, not lock myself out!
3. Unable to add navigation app. I downloaded scout GPS but it will not install. CarPlay is great so I don’t care too much, but would like to figure this one out. I can’t get scout GPS to appear on the car screen or the Toyota app.

Hows the heated steering wheel working out for you ?

 

Head-unit sucks imo. I have a few list items of the shit I don’t particularly care for either but they’re not very significant. Overall I love it and eventually change stuff out as I go.

What!? The new Tacoma comes with a heated wheel?

Our new Mazda came with that. I don't care that I live in 100 degree Texas, I'm irrationally angry that my truck doesn't have a heated wheel. That's the very definition of heaven.

 

4 runners have a scrotum chiller Tacomas don't .
What's up with that ?
