Jerry can holders

Alright so I have a uptop truss rack and a few scepter jerry cans. I know the wavian can holder will fit, but has anyone ever mounted a can holder on the side of the bedrack? I don't see a point in going with rotopax when I have Jerry cans.

So you’ll have to secure it in place by utilizing the 4 bolt holes in the back plate... which means drilling holes in your bed?

 

Not mounted to the bedrack like you wanted, but mounted in the bed securely using a smittybuilt holder and a custom mount to bolt to the rails.. Remember a full jerry can is about 40lbs.

 

I don't want to have it in my bed of the truck to save space.. Have you seen a mount that would go on the bed rack or something?

Super easy to build, the mount is just two 1/4 inch box tubes welded to some angle iron. The box tubes slide into the smitty built can holder, so the holder is a floating holder that can adjust by itself depending if you have the bed mat in or not (I take out my bed mat during the summer)

 

Looks like you have a Prinsu roof rack, you could mount Rotopax flat on top there which is what I do.I know you don't want to purchase Rotopax but they or so much easier to move around, use, etc. I'm never going back to a Spector can unless it's for storing fuel at the house.

Are the plastic scepters the same dimensions as the metal jerry cans?
