If you find yourself elbow deep in your 3RZ-FE and find a compromised balance shaft assy, which is not uncommon, and are thinking about deleting the assembly but have concerns about vibration have no fear... there is no marked difference in vibration at idle or any other RPM. To be fair, I did do the delete with a heavy (35lb LCE) flywheel. In fact, during acceleration and normal driving speeds the motor seems to run smoother. Again, there was other work done at the same time, however, no vibration.

So did you buy LCE kit....or just rotate the oil races?

I bought the LC kit. The high volume oil squirter is essential to keep oil psi from climbing too high.

Sorry to revive an old thread all, looking for some help. My 95.5 3rz limiter sounds way different than others I’ve heard… really long bounces off the limiter rather than short and sweet. Previous owner deleted balance shafts, bored over 0.04, cold air intake, header and cat delete. Maybe the odd sounding limiter is caused by a vacuum leak or something of that sort, just lost now and looking for advice, any will help… thanks!

Possible ECU update since you have a 95? Not really related to balance shafts though..

Think I figured it out, distributor ran motors have a different sounding limiter than coil pack ran motors… another piece of knowledge gained!
