We thank you for your business and are glad to hear the store was good to work with. We are sorry to hear about the noise issue. This is really uncharacteristic of these tires and most of the feedback we are getting is that they are a rather quiet A/T. Although we are glad to hear they are performing well in different environments.

Although we cannot make any promises our goal is for you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase. You are certainly outside the trial period from Toyo however we would like to gather some more details and see what we can do to help. PM on the way.

Aside from the tires, we hope you are healing well from the accident and you are back to full health.

You don't want peaks. They used to be a good bargain but now I wouldn't pay what they are asking. Mine are already dry rotting and are a bitch to keep balanced.

Yeah the Wildpeaks cost pretty much as much as KO2 or other big brands now. The advantage they used to have is they were nearly as good at a much cheaper cost. Now the cost savings is mostly gone and I've heard mixed things about them, that they might have changed the rubber formula and they're not as good anymore either. Not sure if that is true, but not enough cost savings to be worth finding out IMO.

WildPeaks are asking premium prices for a medium tier tire is what my tire shop guy keeps saying. I have about 20k on my toyos and I really like them.
They are AT tires that does well in everything, just expect them to perform as just really good AT tires.

When I went to buy tires the sales guy told me the Toyo AT3 was a better tire all the way around. I went with the peaks(about 2 years ago) because they were 200 dollars cheaper for the set and tons of people swore by them. They do look great and were awesome in snow and mud. After less then 2 years the sidewall is full of dry rot cracks and now the tread is starting to do it too.

yup ive had no issues with the store ive been to they have always done me good with all the tires ive bought.

yup pretty disappointed in them idk if i just got a bad set or what because they were fine and then randomly got super loud! i know it happens sometimes i had an issue with a set of ko2s years ago because a belt slipped so i know it happens

and ya i know i found that out recently about the toyo warranty thing so im just kinda stuck with em sadly

ya so far im healing pretty well i still have pain and im limited on how long i can ride my bike now but overall im doing better

thats odd i know tons of people with them and they have no issues but that is to say a bad batch does happen every so often so its possible you got a bad set but who knows.

overall the tires performance was good so i cant dis it on that i can only say they are ungodly loud and are louder then my buddies km3 mud tires on a 88 toyota pickup..... and if you have ever ridden in a old toyota pickup you know how loud those things are and his tires are very subtle for what they are

I just got my second set of Toyos from Discount Tire.
I have been thoroughly impressed by these since day one of my first set. I have done standard load both sets and it's yet to be a problem. I prefer the ride on SL tires and since this is my daily driver that's the most important. They have a less beefy appearance than the LT tires but they still look pretty darn good. I haven't had any issues with noise so not sure what everyone's issue is with that.
These have been great on the road both wet and dry, I live in Florida so snow isn't a thing but rain sure is and these have done great. Far better than KO2s in the rain that's for sure.
As far as off-road performance, these have done phenomenal for an AT tire. Been through sand, mud, and rocks and I'm impressed.
At this point I can't imagine myself buying a different set of AT tires.

Anyone have pictures of these in 285/75r16?
Are the side wall treads on the LT's as non pronounced as the SL's?

I've been away a few months and just noticed the Open Country ATIIIs have seen a significant price increase. Is that right?

They are about $300/each for the LTs in the size I need and no longer any cheaper than the BFG KO2s. Anyone notice any deals on these lately? I am seeing the same prices no matter what tire place.

Anybody know if there is any real difference between running a 32 or a 33 tire, is there any real advantage or disadvantage between one size or the other?

    Huge difference.
    1. Weight
    2. Gas mileage
    3. Possible trimming and rubbing
You have to determine what you want to do with your vehicle or if you want to take it off road or just keep it as a daily driver. You are going to save a lot more gas with the 32". It will still go ahead and get you to a lot of places.

@crashngiggles nailed it. To add a few to the list. Acceleration, and braking could also be effected depending on if you are looking at an E rated tire compared to the SL. Also ride quality would likely improve with the taller tire as long as you stuck with the SL load range. This is due to having more rubber between the road and the wheel which would cushion the ride some. Steering response would also be effected as more rubber in the sidewall reduces steering responsiveness.

At the end of the day, it depends on what your end goal with stance is as well what tire qualities you find to be most important for your usage. We can help a bit further. Pm on the way.

    5000 KM Update.

Just back from my annual salmon fly fishing trip. 1500 KM return trip. Averaged 11.5L/100KM on the Toyos. Same trip last year on the OEM tires was 11.0L/100KM. I probably would have gotten the same gas mileage but my buddy drove for 300KM on the way back and he's a more aggressive driver than me. I have them set at 35 PSI which seems good. I didn't get to try them on gravel roads this year. I'll have to wait until the fall hunting season for that. Seems to me that the tire noise has quietened down a bit with a few kms on them.

Overall I am impressed with the TOYO AT/IIIs. Would recommend.

Informative vid, really digging the look of these. With the 55k warranty they're really appealing, oh and the current price to competitors.
