Like most Mondays I was busy as ever. Took three full loads of scrap in on my 7x18 Lamar car hauler, physical therapy for my back, hips and core at 11:30am-12:45pm followed by hauling a jeep compass across the county to the dealer for a repeat customer (scrapped 3 cars from him and hauled three others to garages). Needless to say I had to get fuel after all of that, luckily the Getgo over in McKees Rocks was still $4.69/gallon and I had .60 off 30 gallons so filled the truck and most of one 14 gallon fuel dolley. Filled the rest of that one and my other 14 gallon fuel dolley at $4.69 since it was so "cheap". LOL

 

My lower back is getting worse and worse. Are you having any luck with PT?

My wife had her purse picked in a supermarket in Aliquippa years ago. When we went to the police station they weren't very interested in her situation. We suggested they look at the store video, as the envelope in which she had the money was found in the women's bathroom at the store. Logic says there couldn't have been many women going down that isolated hall within the time frame in which the money was stolen (my wife was talking to a co-worker when she arrived, briefly shopped, then found out her money was gone when she went to check out - a 15 or 20 minute time frame). Long story short, she never heard back from the police. Whether they checked the video, who knows.

 

Good morning PA. A rainy day here on the western side. Those who work outside and travel, stay dry.

 

I rode my daughter to work yesterday. The Shell gas station by her work was at $4.97/gallon. My Shell station was still at $4.79/gallon, but I imagine it will have changed when I drive by this morning. It looks like it's going over $5/gallon, real soon.

Morning Pa. Heading into work this am it's hard to keep going straight when I parallel the mountain that our cabin is over on the other side. Tundra wants to take a left and head over....

Really well. Before I started PT I could barely move or sleep. They've been having me on electric stim, heat and ice, stretching and core strengthening.

I'm 6'5", used to be 6'8" but I broke my back 8 years ago along with my shoulder, shoulder blade and did all kinds of damage to my neck and body in a work accident because the guys in the warehouse didn't strap in the 55 gallon steel drums (opened the trailer doors and had one fall on me when I was leaned over picked up another one that had already fell). That and I've had arthritis since I was 11 from growing 14" in a year. Coupled with years of truck driving, years of repeatedly lifting and moving heavy objects does a number on your back. I'm nowhere in the shape I used to be in my 20's and 30's. After a couple of weeks of PT I'm able to move and sleep (mostly) pain free, still working to build up my core strength to support my body and do all the heavy lifting I do on a daily basis.

 

The local Shell is now at $4.99/gallon this morning. The one down the road is still at $4.97. What a shell game. LOL.
