Pretty Sick! Thoughts on changing our your Shocks for other aftermarket options? I decided to ditch my Fox for some kings 2.5 with res + remote for the lift. Slowly but surely my build is coming through. I thought about adding westscott fox shocks adapters for the ht. but decided to just go for a complete upgrade

@Corn_Taco - did you do this step, and if so we’re you able to fit one of their provided plates or did you do something else? There isn’t much room on the interior part of the frame on my truck.

Just installed mine. Installation went smooth. Direct bolt on, did not have to trim the plastic cover on the passenger side and the silver bracket that holds the wire harness lined up and bolted back in. Having some longer bolts handy as another member mentioned is useful.

How did the drilling go, what is even being drilled through? Is it metal or just epoxy? I have a set sitting in it's boxes locked away in a garage waiting till it gets warmer.

I decided not to add the bolt which requires drilling. It looks like you would drill through metal which has epoxy over it. They are still very sturdy without the one bolt on each side.

I know I'm digging up an older thread, but when you installed the sliders is there a gap between the back of the slider plates and the front of the frame around the middle of the main plate where there 4 frame bolts pop through the slider holes? See attached, I have a small gap there....though it seems like no/small gap where there are bolts and round backing plates:

I’ve since sold the truck, but I do remember a slight gap on at least one slider. I wasn’t thrilled about it. Didn’t cause any problems in the short term, though.

Thanks for the input, I still have to do the driver side. But I reinstalled the passenger side just in case I left something behind the plates and it all looks good. Reinstalled with tight bolts and still a small gap. Though it seems to be tight in the places with bolts...the woolwax even squeezed out there...just seems to be the middle area?

Then here is an area it's much tighter to the frame

Hopefully Westcott's team will be able to reply to my email soon...it's seeming like it was designed this way(?) Because I definitely have it installed right all the holes lineup

Did you tighten the bolts on the bottom of the frame rail last?

Yeah, I had them just tight enough to hold the sliders up, then pushed the sliders against the frame as much as I could tightened the sides and the bottoms

Probably just a result of manufacturing variances. I used the crap out of my sliders off-road in the PNW and even in Moab. They never failed me. Would’ve liked to see them sit completely flat against the frame, so I get it.

I’d just watch for any mud getting trapped in that space and not being able to dry out completely. Other than that, it’s probably fine… just kind of an annoyance to those of us who expect things to be a little more perfect. I didn’t see any pics of your actual truck. Lunar rock is a nice color.

Hopefully that's where the woolwax can help too. Yeah I just wish they would butt against one another for less cleaning. I still have an email out to them. But even by this point I took like 7m to install them so if it is a defect I wonder if they'll do anything.

I'll post some truck pics once I get these both get installed. They are really nice looking and feel really sturdy at least
