New to Tacoma Community. Great to be here!

My stock 2019 TRD Pro. Looking for remote start option for my Taco. I ordered the Izzy Auto unit from Amazon but did not work at all. I am pretty tech savvy and spent half day trying to get it to work and finally gave up and returned the unit to Amazon. The install was very easy. The programing was the issue. Issy Auto has no tech support. What unit do you guys recommend that will work with stock key fob? Don’t need anything fancy. A simple remote start will do.

A lot of people seem to have had success with N2 Designs https://www.n2designsinc.com/toyotaremotestarters.

I had my go to auto start guy install a NuStart remote start which has worked out well for me.

Nice picture..... welcome in, that water looks cold, so cold it's hard.

 

I’m not sure of the model years, but my truck came with remote start. Can use it though the app or the fob. Being a pro it may have it. Worth a look. Good luck.

 

Clidarv, I checked into it. I think the remote start began with the TRD Pro in 2020. Mine is a 2019.

 

I wasn’t sure. I didn’t realize I could start it with the fob till months after I bought it. Found out by reading on here.

 

Good to have you, I haven’t been on long. I got alot of good info working on my truck here. Once I got done I figured id share what I learned to maybe help someone else out

 

What bed cover is that

 

Maidenginger that is a factory Toyota cover. I got an awesome deal at $275. It was almost new.
