So i have been fighting this truck for a while now trying to get a good lift on it. I cant seem to figure this out.

I am currently running jba upper control arms with bilstein 5100’s and ome 887 springs (i have a BAMF steel front bumper about 160lbs also) on the lowest clip setting like recommended.
I have terrible rubbing issues now every time i turn hard. I actually ripped off my driver fender flare and also am destroying my fenders…

i dont have enough lift with the 887 springs, I probably need another inch or so. I took my truck to an alignment shop to maybe get some more caster out of it and hopefully help clear the back side of the fenders and it is slightly better but still an issue that needs to be fixed.

before this all i was running bilstein 5100’s with 886 springs on the lowest setting as recommended by wheelers offroad and the truck never rubbed and rode a lot better overall but the main issue was those springs were way too stiff and even with the weight of the front bumper i was driving around with my down travel almost maxed out so every bump i hit i could hear my suspension slamming because i had about an inch of down travel… also it was difficult to get a perfect alignment because of how high the truck sat even though it actually looked pretty dang level and over looked good.

im just looking for suggestions on what to do… i need a ride height in between the 886 springs and 887 springs, im not sure if i can bump up the 887’s a notch because im not sure if ill have coil binding issues since i do offroad. Or do i need a whole new front suspension setup… im trying to stay close to or under $1000 of I absolutely do need to switch for the 3rd time.

Get a bilstein 6100 shock and have your suspension checked out. That or put your stock springs on and put top clip. 5100 do not ride good with ome springs they are designed for the stock spring, another option is to buy the ome shock and put little shim spacers they sell.

What size tires are you running and what are your wheel specs (width and offset)?

A lift isn't really a solution to fit larger tires since it doesn't change the size of the opening that your wheel/tire needs to fit into when the suspension cycles.
