1- I have a clinking metal sound intermittently coming from the underside of my truck. It sounds just like back in the 70's when a u joint was going it would do the same type of sound when starting to drive or when turning with low throttle, most have heard this. The incident below* is what happened/when it began. Maybe its a shock/strut injury, well. something has happened.
ANY THOUGHTS APPRECIATED-what should I look for, do Tacos have U joints like back when?
I dont have access to a lift, I can slide under for a look once and may have to get help.

*I drove into a back parking lot (first time ) with a 5" lip on driveway entrance, plus this entrance it is raised about two feet, a rolling hill 12-18" tall and the parking lot is lower than the street. I hit it at about 10 mph-seemed totally reasonable , plenty of room, seemed very normal. There is a grate for a drain, the reason for the hill. It seemed fine. I nearly got air and it hit the front end really hard. I have ridden motocross, desert. hillclimbing, car racing (dirt oval) Im no chump. This was a major slam. They have since cemented the "lip" on the entrance making it smooth all the way round with no lip now. I wasnt the only one apparently
LONG STORY I SHOULD HAVE JUST TAKEN A PICTURE!!

The stock suspension on the front is not so good is it? Thanks to all for any info

Sounds like you smacked the shit out of your driveshaft on something and it may have some play in it just from the center bearing being worn. I would get under the truck and try to shake the driveshaft to see if it can move. That would cause metal clanking sounds when moving. Also yes, taco's have u-joints.
