2 years ago I began doing my own research to resolve the intermittent limp mode stemming from an already $1,100 mysterious issue with my Secondary air injection pump system.

I found great help on YouTube. At TacomaWorld I found a little better concentrated and more nuanced/ greater number of details about a particular issue. Usually on the same page or within a links reach.

After 6 months of intermittent limp mode I bought a $40 OBDII to diagnose my other truck and discovered I could delete my Toyota codes and go about my life. 18 months later my OBDII stopped working and the complimentary scan tool at Orieley wouldn't connect either.
At this time I began getting nervous.
I drove 100 miles in limp mode to attend a family engagement and while in town I found an Orieley, pulled the fuse for the OBDII and replaced it. no change. Then I asked the guy behind the counter to scan my truck and the codes popped back up. I bought another OBDII deleted my codes and carried on.

After returning home I thought about the fuse and relay related to my secondary air injection pump. I located the relay and switched it with an identical relay that was assigned to my fog lights. Tested the fog lights and no changes. Later that night I got in the truck and realized it seemed darker inside. My lighted icon for the fog lights was out.
Yesterday I Tested the two relays with my voltage tester and a 9v battery.
If there is continuity, my voltage meter displays a 0
If theres no continuity it shows a 1
    Original placement results were
    FR Fog Relay: 0
    Air Pump HTR relay: 1

I think I've resolved the 2 year, $1,100 drama around my 2ndary Air pump.
