I ran a mobile handyman/auto repair shop out of my van (while I was living in it lol) so I can say this.. i can understand why American cars get a bad rap cause I've definitely repaired more of them compared to Asian cars. However, a fair number of the ones I've repaired have been beat to shit, ridden hard and put away wet. over 200k and still going so I don't know. I've personally owned more American cars than anything else. More European cars even,

 

All I know is, I can take an LS out my truck and have it down the the long block in 2 hours. I can also get a replacement from junk yard for 500-1000 so I’m all in on these American LS setups! And……autozone has any part you need! It’s like cheating!

 

I liked working on those, soo much easier compared to an econoline
