    Hello.

There is a new TSB out for the pre-2020s. Time to crowdfund some TIS access?

Hopefully it is a fix for Bluetooth issues I've been having.

Thanks for this. My 2017's was stuck at the last OTA update and I'd had a whole host of Bluetooth issues with my Samsung S21 Ultra. Just did the update. It will be interesting to see how it goes tomorrow!

the update is way better then I thought. Sometimes my iPhone XR wouldn’t even connect to my truck or during a call it would drop. Haven’t had any issues since updating it.

First day on the new firmware and zero issues so far. Got rid of an irritating lag where hanging up using the steering wheel controls would not work most of the time. Works as expected now.

I've stumbled upon this thread while trying to troubleshoot another problem, and it appears the dealership did the update last week while I was in for other service without charging me. The head unit shows old database being 010192 (Oct 2018) and new database is 0101A7 (June 2022). If I am reading TSB-0045-22 correctly, 0101A7 is the most current update for the Entune Premium Audio with navigation.

Or did I read that incorrectly?

    Yes. You read that correctly.

    Nice work from your dealer.

What or how is this different then other versions? Can tech stream load this? If so, how?

The changes are noted in the TSB that I attached. If folks are having issues, it would be a good thing to try.

See the update instructions in the 1st Post. The HU updates itself.

I stumbled upon this thread because I am having some issues with my 2018 Tacoma. I think I did an OTA update when I updated the Toyota App a week or so ago and ever since then, whenever I listen to an audiobook via Bluetooth, the time remaining always jumps to 0:00 left in a chapter until I pause then resume playing, then the correct time remaining displays.

    I have:

    MODEL ID: 13TDANNA-DA21
    Hard No: 86100-04172
    Audio: 01019A
    Audio System: 000099
    Dsp Module: A20020

It looks like from the most recent TSB that 13TDANNA-DA11_0167 is available, but is mine newer than that?

And secondly, I cannot seem to find 13TDANNA-DA11_0167 anywhere as all download links that I find are not accessible. But I was able to download the 13TDANNA-DA11_0164 file as is available in the first post, but when I insert the USB into the system, the system doesn't pull up that file.

I'm a newbie at this tech stuff, so I apologize if any of this is very rudimentary to some of you, but I am at my wit's end trying to get this thing updated and looking for some help.

    Thanks in advance.

Without the current version you have on your headunit, I assume you have the 164 file already flashed (previous owner/dealership?) @tonered mentioned and linked a new TSB available for pre 2020 models. I have yet to renew my subscription to download the file(s). I did check Toyota's firmware update website that doesn't require a TIS subscription and the most recent they have available for your headunit is from late 2017.

Time to pass the pot around. :D

You shouldn't be paying for a subscription.
