Any of yall running a Y pipe? Any legal issues?
Instead of replacing stolen downstream cat, I am looking at grabbing a URD y pipe and calling it a day, but concerned about inspection.

Almost all inspection places will check if cats exist. Almost.

I am still pretty new to Texas, I know some states just look for safety and some look for excess water in your cup holder lol, so not sure what all they look for. I moved here from Kalifornistan where they inspect EVERYTHING! They tried to pop me for a cone filter that dind't have a CARB sticker on it once.
I will probably just go with the AFE one that has the cats on it.

Makes sense. It's about knowing the right shops in your area. But you'll be hard pressed to find any references in any written form. The EPA is still... militant when it comes to inspections. Even if you had an o2 sim, most shops will do a visual inspection as it's required now. AFAIK

I just pulled the trigger on the AFE with the cats... 12 week lead time! Luckily I found a local shop that will actually weld on a tube to connect my muffler to my left side again lol.

You will pass inspection and shouldn't have CEL at all after the install.
