Mowed and trimmed the lawn today, still cutting twice a week here. We have had pretty regular rains in the spring. Rained 4 days last week and we are supposed to get some tonight. The summer heat looks like it will hit us next week and it will probably dry out some. We'll now I gotta go trim a burning bush up, it's the only bush I have to trim, lol.

Fractured my right wrist yesterday. Missed the step at my cousins house. A light would have been nice, they live in a dungeon. I never saw the transition. F me.

    glad it’s not worse.

Ouch, not good. Hopefully heals soon.

Evening all, used my Tacoma to help my oldest daughter move some of her stuff today to her new house, she fed us lunch with Jersey Mikes subs, had the Italian, sooo good and fresh.

Just watched the Braves come from behind to beat Pittsburgh wooo :D
They’re on a 10 game win streak after a slow season start.

Finally decided to fully retire first of August, working 2-3 days a week still has the same drain as full time work. It’s time to walk away from all that.

    Everyone have a nice weekend!

Went to a bunch of yard sales today and met a guy that says he has a poker game going. He says he'll call me... so we'll see. I could use that kind of distraction once a week.

I'll just have to tread lightly and not win too much.

Ouch, that sucks! Being a veteran of multiple broken bones over the years I can definitely say those of us in our later years don't heal as fast as we once did. In my case, I suffered two almost identical broken fibulas 45 years apart; the first time I was back out running on the track in about 8 weeks and a few months after that I was turning in some respectable times; I'm still recovering from the second break over three years later.

Good luck in your recovery, I've found there is a very fine line between doing too much and not doing enough; deviate too far from that line and you will slow your recovery. I didn't tell you this to be pessimistic, after all, I'm the original "glass is half-full" guy, I'm just trying to caution you from doing too much too soon.

Advise from personal experience: If you don’t have adequate insurance, your cousin’s insurance will cover it, without repercussions on him. Your wallet will thank you.
Further, you’ll have a nerf ball to squeeze. Do it gently every day, increasing the exertion a small amount each day, graduating to a tennis ball. Your hand will thank you.

Hope the wounded guys heal up quickly. :(
Thanks for sharing the pics. of the car show Kurt, if you ever see a 1966 B body with a factory L-72 in it tell the guy that you are on a Tacoma forum with a guy who owns one from new, lots of clones out there, but the real ones are scarce.
One car I have never seen is a 1965 B body with the 425hp 396, seen multiple vettes with that motor but never a full size that came factory, they produced about as many of those as the 1966 B body 425hp 427 L-72's.

One of the rarest and coolest Impalas I've seen was at a show here a few years ago.
'67 ragtop SS, 4 speed, 427 and factory blister hood. AC as well as hidden headlights.
Talked to the guy for a while. He owned it for 50 years and said only 100 or so had the blister hood.
427 numbers were muddled as they had some police packages with 427s.
Convertible SS cars with 4sp and 427 are super rare.
