Based on Project Farms review, I went with the Gooloo brand. Picked up the GP2000 for myself and a few of my friends and family for christmas. So far it jumped our Tundra, riding lawn mower, and my ATV. No struggle, just instant power. Gooloo had a black friday sale for the GP2000 for $99. Normally it's $130.

I keep mines in my truck and it completely replaced my jumper cables. Gotta say, its been ready handy these last few months.

thank you for the heads up I didn’t know that.

what if it comes in a NOCO box?
I don’t think you can order directly from NOCO but I’ll check. I was on their site yesterday and it had a page “where to buy” including Walmart. Maybe in that case Walmart is worth it because the price is similar if not the same, but according to what you’re saying, possibly more legitimate than Amazon

I bought a GB70 a year or two ago. I think from Amazon. Which didn’t have issues. Maybe I got lucky

I’m leaning towards buying a GB70. Because they have better reviews than GB40, are stronger with more uses per charge, and can possibly even start a big diesel motor like a full size truck/Dodge Ram Cummins/ford power stroke/chevy duramax

The counterfeits are extremely difficult to distinguish, they come in essentially the same packaging and branding. And if you ordered on Amazon more than likely it would be just fine, but it is worth knowing about the issue. Amazon is aware of the issue and has over the years been trying to stay one step ahead of the counterfeits.

Even non-Amazon retailers get burned, I think B&H got some counterfeit Nikon batteries a couple years ago. The difference is B&H knows and tracks their supply chain so as soon as it was discovered they contacted everyone that bought from that lot and replaced them. With Amazon it’s pretty much buyer beware.

At the moment it looks like Home Depot has the GB70 on sale for $176 with free ship to store. Personally I’d go that route, they don’t have the mixed supply chain issues that Amazon does. You can order directly from NOCO but that’s $200 at the moment and perhaps shipping as well.

    you're right
fuck it, ordering from Home Depot. Reliable source
    Good lookin out

If I let anyone with a dead battery borrow it to hold them over until replacement, I really hope they'll bring it back

You guys think it's smart to keep it stored in a lunchbox?
    Got any recommendations on one?
Probably going to try this. Already have one that works good enough for food.
Hopefully the jumper doesn't need to "breathe"
It might fit; bag is long vertically. If it doesn't, can easily return

They offer a case for this model, look at the Noco site or even Amazon has them.

I have a GB50. I've jumped the Tacoma with it twice so far, worked like a charm. I prefer hard cases, so I store it in a standard 50cal ammo can, $12 at Walmart or $11 at HF when they are on sale.

I like super capacitor jump pack. Work in extreme cold. Do not need to keep it charged. Not damaged by heat.

I keep an Autowit one in each vehicle.

It comes with a soft bag like you would put sunglasses in. With the OE bag it still fits in the glove box. If mine is counterfeit, they did an excellent job and I'm still pleased lol.

yeah I forgot about that. Don’t know if I even still have mine. Ordered a hard case thanks to whoever posted that. Same price as a lunchbox but stronger. And if I let somebody with a dead battery borrow it (which I probably will) the hard case will make it convenient to store inside.

maybe easy to find and store in the truck too. A lot of whatever else I have is somewhat hard case too. Recovery hitch, flashlight, compressor, etc so it will match

hopefully it can be set and forget charged and not like a battery where it’s better to use up and recharge occasionally. Though I can certainly do that if needed

I ordered my Noco Genuis 10 from HD for the same reasons. Amazon sells a lot of questionable stuff. You could always use a lipo safe charging bag for storage like for RC car batteries. Amazon link below
