Not a discussion about whether top plate spacers are good or not.

    Discussion about the material used.

    Metal, aluminum, polyurethane.

Polyurethane doesn’t corrode. And polyurethane attenuates any vibrations going through that structure.

My truck is so much smoother with a 3/8” top plate.
