    Hi Again,
I am locked in 2wd, which is fine for summer, but sooner or later I have to find out why there's no power at the inside fuse box for the 4wd. I tested the two fuses for 4wd and nothing. Could there be some engine compartment fuse or relay? It used to work fine.
    Thanks again, -Vic

What 2 fuses did you test?
And was the ignition ON when you tested them?

The ignition needs to be on for them to have power.

Ignition was on and I checked the bottom two fuses on the right (under dash).

    Does your windshield wipers work?
And what did you use to test the fuses?

Current flow for the 4 wheel drive circuit.

    Battery >> Alt Fuse (120 or 140 Amp ) >> 50 Amp AM1 Fuse >> Ign Switch AM1 Contacts >> 20 Amp 4WD Fuse...

    Hi,
Wipers work and fuses were checked with an ohmmeter.

When you show me BAT> Alt fuse> 50amp fuse> Ign switch> 20amp 4wd fuse, should I be testing the fuses on the engine side? I probably should have done that first.

If your wipers work then the circuit up to the fuse box should be good, are you certain there is no voltage at the 4wd fuse?

I always pull fuses and check for continuity with a (DMM) Digital Multi Meter.

Or you could check the upstream and downstream sides of the fuses for voltage with the ignition switch on.

Works even better as it shows that the circuit will support a load.

Those newer ones that also have a digital display for voltage are even better. Since a test light might be lit, but the voltage could be lower than intended.

I was using an LED light. But went back to the old incandescent bulb type.
An LED can lie to you. They don’t draw much current and can light up at low voltage.
Where the old style might light up, but it will be dim.

I still have the led one occasionally to verify Power/Ground wires . Mine lights up Red if you are on a power wire and Green if you’re a ground.

If I want to load test a circuit I have a H11 headlight bulb and pigtail with banana jacks that I use.
