I have a weird hum/ whine that is most noticable at 30,50,and 60 mph. I have replaced the center bearing and the one u joint that is needed to replace the center bearing. I have replaced the ecg bushing and both front wheel bearings. I cant seem to figure out where the noise is coming from. I also have a slight vibration when decelerating and it is slightly louder when decelerating. Any thoughts?

Do you have an auto? Is the 30 mph lessened or go away in S3?
I'd take it somewhere that has NVH analysis equipment or get an NVH app before I threw more parts at it.

Open the front driver's window and then close it and open the rear slider. When does the whine get loudest?

    Are you lifted or stock?

The truck is lifted 2.5 in the front and icon aal 1.75 in the rear. Has 3 degree shims in the rear, carrier bearing drop kit. I also just changed every fluid in the truck under 500 miles ago. Been doing this for over 10k miles now. Been to two shops cant seem to find a solution

I prefer to drink my wine while relaxing at home. Drinking at those speeds could cause you to spill....

Since theyre already in, I'd delete carrier spacer first, see if it solves or not. If not, reinstall carrier spacer and delete the shims. Having both is probably overkill for a 1.75 inch lift.

I just have the carrier spacer, no shims, same lift

Slight vibration worsened when braking, or stays the same? Have you inspected brake components? Could have something rubbing somewhere.

Took the wifes prius in for an oil change, and all new shocks. I let her use the tacoma this morning. She just got back with it. Never going to hear the end of it how much better it drives than her prius. She likes it so much now she wants one just smaller.

Front brakes are new as well. I have not inspected the rear at all.

When you say you removed it, did you just remove the carrier, or did you try different combinations of removing the axle shims while keeping the carrier?

Ive tried every combination. Just carrier bearing drop, no drop and just shim. Only thing that works is shim and drop kit.

Is that a Pinot Noir or Rose Blush ...

And how old are you that has a lot to do with it... for those over 50 we usually prefer Pee-No-More
