Hello everyone!! New to the TACO world(though I had a few DEERS when living in the middle east)

I recently purchased a 2015 gray Tacoma from a dealership in Raleigh, but they got it from a auction. Love the truck, and it is definitely fun to drive. There were 2 previous owners that did quite a few mods to it and I would like to connect with them just to find out some info.

    Any help would be great!!!

There is some electrical stuff hooked up with no fuses in the extended termal that I can't find were they go. Also the way the front camera is set up is a bit strange but I lose the wire as it leaves the dash to the fire wall.

Post up some pics when you have a moment. I won’t be much help in the electrical department but there are more than a few Tacomaworld members who are well versed in this regard and will most likely be able to assist you in narrowing down answers to your inquiries.

Here are the mods that I found:
Also the windows are vin etched, the lights in the bed will not come on and I found 2 of the LED controller remotes, one does control the LEDs on the ditch lights.

Full (past the Transfer case) skid plate and the quick drain valve for the oil pan.

Just did the engine oil and the rear diff oil change and the fluids were pristine.

Doing transfer case and front diff this weekend, but based upon what I am seeing it will be good also.

Whoever owned this did a great job staying up on maintenance.

Sweet ride, grab a car fax, or ask the dealer for one. Some info in there can lead you to the state or area. Then try that dealer with VIN

It's likely th PO had more electric components that they likely removed and kept prior to trading in the truck resulting in your current dilemma. Remove any wiring that is not powered, connected, or use. As for the dual cameras, likely powered separately through the toggle switch so you can check voltage at the front camera with toggle switch on. Cameras are usually just 3 hookups. Power, ground, and a rca jack to the radio.

Thats nice! I'm hoping you didn't pay the price for an actual TRD Pro because they're quiet expensive and extremely rare.

Looks to be a 2015 Toyota Tacoma SR5 DCSB w/ the XSP-X Package in Silver Sky Metallic. Im gonna assume the previous owner replaced the scooped hood with a flat hood since every XSP-X tacoma I've ever seen has a scooped hood

    Thanks for the info!!
According to the vin check through toyota it comes back as the TRD Pro, but until I can hook up with the others that took her in that will remain a mystery.

Have you tried checking the vin through the Toyota website? You'll have to make an account through the toyota website if you haven't already https://www.toyota.com/owners/register

Thanks Brandon, did that and it came back with some strange info. I did not get raked on the price(less than 15K) so weather it is a true Pro or not don't make a difference to me. IT is fun and tight on the road. Plus it keep me out of the ditch LOL

Not totally sure on this but thought I’ve seen on here the only colors for the 2015 TRD Pro were Inferno, Super White, and Black?
