I was trying to find a bed rail mount that would let me mount fire extinguisher without drilling holes in ‘22 Limited with tonneau cover. I don’t really want it in cab. I can’t seem to find any. Any suggestions. Thank you all.

The tonneau is a challenge. Putting an extinguisher on the rail will either cause clearance issues or it will put the quick release in a spot you can't pull unless you unfasten the tonneau.

Remember, an extinguisher is useless if you can't get to it fast.

If it were me I'd make a vertical bracket that bolts to the bedrail, then fasten my extinguisher release to that so that it's all easy grab as soon as you drop the tailgate. Ebay sells one for 110 plus ship, I know I could buy the pieces of that kit for way cheaper.

I keep mine mounted horizontally, but same concept. A quick pull bolted to a fabbed bracket.

This is what I did. I used the bracket that came with the extinguisher . I just reused one of the riv-nuts that hold the stock cubby in worked out slick. I'm one of those guys that like to make stuff outta nothing guy.

The Element E50 extinguisher on the right has the same discharge capacity as the outdated bulky and failure prone version on the left.

It's much easier to store almost anywhere, isn't reliant on a chemical/gaseous charge so will never lose a charge and be worthless when you need it.

thanks for the link. I did find the same thing on Amazon but price seems high and no reviews so skipped it. Might give it another look. Surprised not more options for mounting to bed rails

I installed bed molle panels which gave me the option to mount various things, including a fire extinguisher. Works with my factory tonneau cover. I used this extinguisher mount:

I want to avoid drilling holes if I can. Your setup looks nice however.

Why mount it in the bed at all? Mount it inside:

I did need to drill 2 holes on driver's side since there isn't a cubby in a 2019. The molle panel uses the cubby screw holes on the passenger side. No holes need to be drilled on that side. Could definitely mount to one side. I have the Rough Country molle panels.

I did the same thing. Mine just so happened to work out where the bottom fits nicely on the bed mat and the cubby is still accessible without removing the extinguisher.

Rear seat area has straps, ropes, etc and behind seat is battery bank and jumper stuff. Might be able to organize better though. Front seat mount looks cool and all but on a limited pavement princess it would look odd lol. These are good ideas and I thank you for helping.

You have under seat storage, and BEHIND the rear seat storage. I can only put stuff in the storage area behind the drivers-side-rear seat because the under seat storage is full (ropes, straps, etc just like you) and behind the passenger-side-rear seat has the OEM JBL subwoofer.

In the drivers side, I have a first aid bag, flash light and emergency road side kit. I have been meaning to buy a fire ext for that area. I found one that fits perfectly, so it won't wobble around or slide. This thread is a great reminder to go get it!

Is that an AED next to the fire extinguisher?

Most extinguishers come with a a mount, just go to Home Depot get a metal bracket and a couple t nuts and that way it sits lower kind of hanging off the rack cost you $10 the most you could also ditch the stock fire stinger sure amount and get a quickfists

It does. I'm a former EMT so I probably carry more in the way of first aid supplies in my truck than most, but I don't think I'd go quite that far. A bit too rich for my blood.
